This is a native to TX, grows from Oklahoma through Texas. It blooms white in the spring, has small, sour plums in late summer (perfect for jam) and orange leaves in the fall. Then it is bare in the winter. So I have my four seasons!!

I keep telling Eldon (when we go to Calloway's and I see fruit trees)that I really want some fruit trees when we have a house someday. A tree that does something all year long is a great idea. Looks like it has a good spot in front of your kitchen window.
This marks the end of soccer, baseball, and football in the backyard. Oh well, the elementary school up the street is good enough. Though I am excited to enjoy the jam.
